New Publication! Cross-Cultural Comparison of Cat–Human Relationships in the United States and Japan

Everyone loves cats, but how does your cultural atmosphere affect the social behavior of our feline friends? Our research shows that cats in the US spend more time around people than their feline counterparts in Japan. We explored each country’s attitude toward pet cats, examined owner attachment to their cat and pet cat social behavior, and cat social behavior in cat cafés.
